Calkins Electric Construction Company, Inc. was founded in 1936 by Francis Calkins Sr., as company President he worked to grow the business until his death at the age of 88 in 1973.

Upon his death, the day to day operation of the business was turned over to his three sons; Red Calkins (President), Francis Calkins, and Larry Calkins.

In 1995 the Board of Directors  of Calkins Electric placed their trust in Red's son Billy when they elevated him to the position of President making him the third generation of Calkins to serve as President of the company.

The Calkins family influence is still very much alive today with Red’s son Billy serving as President and the son’s of Francis Calkins Sr., Francis Calkins and Larry Calkins, serving on the Board of Directors.
